    Hey everyone! Hope all is well with you and your families! Here is what has happened in May!

Fundraising:

    Now that it is the summer and school is out, us pastors with FOCUS get to begin our fundraising efforts for the next school year. Currently, my wife and I are looking to raise an additional $3000 a month, or $36,000, due to supporters leaving our team and adjusted goals due to our tenure on staff. 

    If you know of anyone who would be interested in hearing about campus ministry, let me know as we are trying to expand our network of partners so that we can be on campus full time. Also, let me know if you'd like to increase your donation, as that goes a long way as well!

SICM (Student Institute for Campus Ministry):

    Every year we send our students to SICM, a leadership conference in Washington to train them in becoming evangelists, not only on campus but for the rest of their lives. They are taught for seven days by a college ministry in Washington that has been around since the 1970's. That campus ministry is what helped bring FOCUS into fruition and what it is now. They have great ministers that are seasoned and have a lot of wisdom. 

    This was our biggest year in attendance for students, we sent 180 young adults to be trained in spreading the gospel wherever they go! THAT IS CRAZY! It is so cool getting to see students wanting to be sent on a trip to learn how to build the kingdom and spend a week doing so. God is working at our campuses in big ways. We sent 10 students from Collin and they all had such a great time. I was only on the trip for a few days this year, here are some of the pictures from that:

    If you could pray that my wife Adriana and I make our goals for fundraising this year, that would be a huge blessing. Also, pray for all of our students who went to SICM and that they can internalize what they learned.

Your donations help create spaces where students can be discipled, challenged in their faith, and ultimately learn to surrender their lives to Jesus as Lord. We are incredibly thankful for your prayers, support, and willingness to be part of what God is doing on our campus.

 November Blog      Hey everyone! Hope y'all are heading into Thanksgiving with high spirits! This is a great time to meet up with family and to stop worrying about our day to day routines.  WELCOME WEEK     Hey everyone! The new school year has started and wow it has been a lot of fun! God has been doing some great things on campus just after one week at school! For the first week of school, our entire staff at Collin spent everyday on one of the campuses to talk to students and invite them to come check out FOCUS. I can't wait to share with y'all about Welcome Week and how it went, here we go! Welcome Week: Monday     On Monday, I was at the Plano campus and we had our "First Day of School Photos!". For this event we made a large photo-booth that looked like a notebook piece of paper and had students take their photo in front of it like most kids used to do when they were younger. It was a great way to welcome students and get them excited for the first day. February Fun      Hey everyone! Hope y'all have been doing well, thank you all so much for your support! It truly means a lot to me. This month God has been working in my life in many different ways and I can't wait to share them with you.     Our Tuesday night small group has been doing well. Through outreach on campus, we have had three new guys show up and be consistent with not only our small group but also our hangouts. They do not consider themselves religious but are interested in learning more about Christianity and God, which is really exciting. God has blessed our group to be a place for guys who don't have many friends, if any at all, to come and find people that show them the love of Jesus and what real friendship could look like. One of the new guys told me that he does not have anyone to talk to about any of the mental issues that he is going through and it made me realize how many guys are alone in handling their own emotions.
